Zoo Trip

It's always nice to get to the zoo at least 1 time a year.  My work had an appreciation day for the crossing guards last Saturday May 15th at the Hoagle Zoo.  We all got in for free!!!!  So we got to go in an hr. before opening time and wander the zoo without all the crowds, it was nice.  It has been a couple of years since we all went to the zoo, and some things had changed.

Some of our favorite attractions at the zoo were the elephants.  Madisynn especially loved the Elephants!  A change that had happened since the last time we were there was a baby elephant had been born.  Oh soooo cute!  Wish we could have gotten a shot of it's face though.  A Funny random thing the girls remembered about the Elephant from 2 years ago was that the elephant pooped and peed right infront of them.  When they found out that we were going to zoo that is all they talked about.  The girls were so disappointed that the elephant didn't do that this time!  Hilarious!  They definately thought the baby elephant was cute though, so in a way that made up for the lack of pee and poo.

The Gorillas were another of our favorites.  We had to get some shots of us on the statue out infront of the building.

McKenzie and I both loved the monkey's and the Griaffes.  Kenzie also liked the Camels, but we didn't get any pictures of them.  We could have stood and watched the monkey's all day long!  Their were 2 caged tohether and they were swinging all over the place.  It is so amazing to me!  I love it!  One of them had a stuffed animal monkey and it was holding it in it's foot and wouldn't let go of it.  It was Cute!  It was funny we would have the perfect shot for a picture and when we were about to take the picture the monkey would start to cross the bars again.

Matt's favorite attraction were the Tiger's.  They were the first site that we came too, and nuts they weren't out.  They were still sleeping.  Matt was bummed, but ended up being happy at the end when we left.  The Tigers were awake and instead of just 1, I think their were 4 awake roaming around!

The Rhinos:

And that's all folks!
