Just heard the saddest news at my crossing this afternoon.
One of the little girls that we cross died of menangitis on Dec. 28th. She was
7 years old. She got sick after Christmas, I think the 26th and got worse they
took her to primary childrens on the 28th, and she died within like 2 hrs. So
Sad! It totally breaks my heart. =(

McKenzie just pulled her own tooth out. She's brave, and
i'm a wuss! So she has lost 4 teeth now, 2 top front, and 2 bottom front. She
is so cute!
As for my other munchkin had to take her in to insta care
this morning because she has an ear infection. She is sleeping it off now. It's
so sad, when she shows me her owie lip, and says that her ear hurts. I hate ear
infections!!!
So the girls and I had a girls night out at our house while
matt went hunting. We soaked our feet in a foot spa with scented epson salt. we
painted our fingernails and toenails. We had homemade pizza, rootbeer, and
watched the Dolphin from redbox. The girls have enjoyed every minute of it! =)

in Magna on Thurs night? Matt called me on Thurs night and freaked me out. I
have hardly slept since Thurs night. I'm greatful for matt's new job, but I
hate Matt working graves. I hear every sound multiplied. I hate feeling scared

"I have a fever, and the only cure is more
cowbell" LOL I wish that was the cure for fevers. Maddie woke up with a
fever of 102.7. Kenzie didn't wake up with a fever, and so far so good. It's
been a long weekend, need to get out of this house. I think I may go shopping
later when matt wakes up.

We are finally in the clear. Both Kenie, and Maddie are
feeling better today. Horray!!! Now hopefully we can keep it that way. =) Tired
of it being recycled.
So this morning at my crossing one of the little girls that
I cross was wearing a black glove and a white glove. As I cross her I say"
Good morning Alyssa" she holds up her hands and her reply in a singing
voice was" It don't matter if your black or white" and continues to
sing. It was so cute and funny and totally made my morning! =)
Going to watch me some bones with the hubby! I love
bones!!!

So after almost 3 and a half years of not going to the
dentist the results weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. I knew I
needed work done. Nothing like getting cavaties refilled. I hate that shot, and
the numbing feel. Thank goodness I have an awesome amazing dentist though that
made me feel calm the whole time. Love him and his staff!
So hungry....hurry up Tator Tot Casserole!

What is it about ice and kids? Why are they so obsessed
with breaking it, sliding on it? Ice is like a magnet to them! Every morning I

Man I don't think I got any sleep last night at all. I
tossed and turned all night. =( Matt wasn't feeling good and slept on the
couch. =( I did get up early and exercise though, which made me feel great, but
now I need a nap!
Maddie had her 'K' checkup today, and is ready for
Kindergarten! The Dr said that she is growing great, and looks good. One of
Maddie's legs is longer than the other, and one of her feet as well. She get's
that from Matt, he carries all of the weird genes! She didn't even cry when she
got her shots, just said ouch. She was so excited to get them. Silly girl! I'm
glad this appt. is done, and we are on top of things!

It would be so nice if kids cleaned like they played video
games, or operated any kind of techinal gadget. It is so frustrating teaching
them how to clean, and do a good job doing it. I know they will get their one

On my way back home from matt's work tonight I got stopped
by a long slow train. Out of the blue my girls start saying that it's mario's
train because their was an M on one of the boxcars. Then Madisynn says that she
loves Wedgie. I was confused for a sec, and then realized that she was talking
about Luigi. I love that she calls him Wedgie...so stinking cute and funny! Gotta
love Mario Brothers =)

I feel so violated, somebody hacked our email. It's been
blocked since Friday. We are in the process of trying to recover it. Such a
pain in the butt! I don't know about you guys, but I love email. I constantly
check it all day long. I feel like a part of my world is missing!
When I was a kid I didn't have a cell phone, I-Pad, Kindle
or Wii. I had a jump rope, a bike and a curfew; the street lights. My toys were
the outside world. If I didn't eat what my mom made, I didn't eat. I didn't
dare tell my parents "no" or dare to talk back. Life wasn't hard, it
was life...I survived. Repost if you liked the way you were raised...and drank

So we had a birds next in our light fixture over our front
door. Matt took down the nest making sure that no eggs or baby birds were in it
first. So now I regret taking it down because the Momma bird came back to lay
her eggs and she couldn't hold them in her any longer. She laid the eggs where
the nest would have been, so the eggs dropped and broke on our front porch. 3
total.

did 30 day shred level 3. She did pretty good. She did circuits 1 and 2 and
half of circuit 3. She gave up and said this is too hard Mom! She decided to go

McKenzie's fish Goldie died last night. When I told her she
burst into tears. It was so sad. I told her that we would get her a knew one
today. Had the fish for 2 1/2 days. Hard to see your kids so heartbroken. I'm
glad it wasn't a dog or any bigger animal.

Horray for a new garbage can! A couple of weeks ago the garbage man ran over
our garbage can. The lid was barely hanging on, and it had tire tread all over
it. The wheels would barely move. I was pretty ticked off when I came home from
my morning crossing to see my garbage can looking that way. It's all good now!

Madisynn has taken 2 baby blankets tied them together, and
tied it around her neck loosely to make it like Rapunzel's hair. She has been
lowering it over the stair railing while standing on the couch, throwing it up

So Matt watched Tron legacy with the girls today. I asked

Totally bummed....my hairstylist is moving to Vegas next
month. =( She does such a good job! I love how she cuts my hair, and styles it.
I have been going to her for the past 4 yrs, it's going to be hard switching to
someone else. Plus i'm going to miss our conversations, she is so easy to talk
to too. I'm nervous thinking about having to go to someone else.

So so nice not to have to rush anywhere this morning. I'm
so happy to have a 4 day weekend! Maybe I can get a little garden planted.
Spent the day in the ER with Matt. He has been feeling
crappy for the last week and half, and the pain escalated this morning. He went
to the Dr. and they told him to go to the ER to have some X-rays done on his
appendix and colon.

A very long day today. Just when I thought things were
getting better for matt they turned around. Had to go back to the ER, he was
experiencing off the charts abdominal pain, with nausea, and dry heaving. He
had x-rays done, and a CAT Scan done.

McKenzie and Madisynn start their Gymnastics class today!
They are so excited! They have asked everyday for a week now if it's time to go
to gymnastics.
Matt got his staples removed today, and is able to go back
to work tonight! I'm so glad we don't have to deal with Pioneer Hospital
anymore. Hooray! I'm going to miss Matt though. It has been nice to lounge
around together for the past week and veg. So glad he is feeling better!

I haven't ran since April 1st. I ran 4 miles in just over
38 min, today I ran 5 miles in 48 min and 19 sec! I think that is dang awesome
for not running every day. It felt great, and such a great stress reliever!

So getting ready to eat lunch I tell the girls to call to
Matt and tell him to come eat. I tell them to say " Father Mattaeo come
eat" Without missing a beat Madisynn says " Father potato come
eat!" Haha I love it!
Sleeping on the trampoline tonight in comfort! Tent
& air mattress! Kids have been begging us to sleep outside. We have
been hesitant because every time I have slept outside I have gotten mosquito bites
near my eyes & they puff & hurt like crazy! The tent and air
mattress was our bargaining chip. Maybe when I have gates on my fence and they
are older I will let them do it by themselves and get the full experience. =)
along with sleeping on the tramp, we are educating our
girls and watching Napoleon Dynamite!

Our experience on the trampoline was all in all a fun
experience, but Matt and I didn't sleep very well. The girls slept hard and
woke up bright and early. LUCKY! Next time Matt and I will just sleep in the
tent on the ground and the girls can brave it and take their chances with the
mosquito's!

calls on our home and cell phone about auto insurance! I'm also getting sick of
the emails too, thankfully I have blocked those, and we aren't getting them as

I have a busy day ahead of me today, so I went to bed
early(10:40) that is early for me. I fell asleep quickly that was nice, but I
woke up @ 12:30 a.m. and tossed and turned until 5:15 when my alarm went off. I
hate when that happens, it is so annoying! I hope I can keep my cool and not be
ornery and snap at everyone for everything. Note to self get it together and
have a good happy day!

I'm really irked that the school would not honor my request
to put Maddie into afternoon kindergarten. I had wanted morning Kindergarten,
but it wasn't going to work very well with my schedule. I went in a week before
they made class lists to request afternoon. I'm already stressed thinking about
her starting kindergarten I don't need this too. Besides that she is my
youngest, I sobbed yesterday. She is growing up, it makes me sad!

I'm not ready for school to start. Maddie starts the 29th
because of kindergarten assessments, and Kenzie starts September 6, because her
school isn't done with construction quite yet. Anyways I start crossing guard
again tomorrow. Having some anxiety, and depression here. Why do kids have to
grow up so fast? It makes me sad! I know I will be better once I get into a
routine again.

Just got back from Kindergarten assessment. Maddie did
wonderful! Made mistakes, but that's okay. She will learn through this year.
She is so excited to start Kindergarten on Monday! Go Maddie!!!
Oh my goodness, Kenzie just played Peter Peter Pumpkin
Eater on the keyboard! I had no idea she knew that. Thanks to my Older bro.
Chris for teaching his daughter McKell, who then taught Kenzie when they were
here for our family reunion. Go Kenzie!!! I really need to get her into Piano
lessons.

I asked her if she wanted corn on the cob, or squash and zucchini for dinner.
Her choice was corn on the rod! LOL Love it!

Aw nuts! Maddie's glasses bit the dust today. She said that
as she walking down the stairs they just fell off and were broken. She had
nothing to do with it. She is really careful with her glasses. She has had them
for about 3 years. They were looking pretty beat, wish they would have lasted a
little bit longer. Kind of funny that they happened to break on the day of her
eye appt. Guess we will find out what the doc says about her lazy eye as well
as glasses. Hopefully we have some good news!

Wow how the time has flown! I can't believe that Maddie
starts Kindergarten today. She is just too little to be going. She is super

My friend saw this on the car in front of her that had a
bumper sticker on it. It read: “Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8.” When I got home I
opened my bible to the scripture and read it and started laughing. Psalm 109:8
–“Let his days be few and brief; And let others step forward to replace him.”
At last –I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Let us bow our heads

I shouldn't have eaten the yummy Raspberry pie I made for
dessert tonight, but I couldn't help myself it was sinfully delicious! The
filling in the pie was my grandma Z's recipe. Loved her cooking and her pies!
You can use the filling for peach pie, strawberry pie too. I didn't have enough
raspberries or peaches to make the glaze for the top, so we just used whip
cream to top, oh and a yummy homemade graham cracker crust.

k facebook has dragged me in long enough... it's short day
today, which means maddie goes to school earlier. So here I am wasting my time,
and I need to exercise, and get other stuff done. I should just park my behind
on the corner of the school, so I don't have to keep going back and forth to
it. All day Kindergarten would be really nice!
My silly Maddie wanted to get to Kindergarten so bad, she
ran pretty much the whole way there. Man she is fast! Then when we got there
her little friend Kimmy started chasing her so they were running in a circle.
Very cute, but had to tell her to stop because I didn't want her getting worn
out before school. Save it for Recess girls! Love that my kids love to run and
walk!
I was pleasantly surprised this morning when Matt changed
the screen saver on the phone to our engagement picture. I told him that was
sweet to change it to that one. Me:"do you miss me that much when you are
at work?" Matt "yea" quietly, & then louder "but it
gives off the most light." Busted! Only my husband would reply back with
that comment! Those of you that really know Matt couldn't you just see him
saying this comment to me? I know he loves me and I just have to give him a
hard time. =)

Exhausted! Just got back from a birthday party @ hollywood
connections. That's 3 times this year in the past month. Thanks Scott and

I have the most wonderful husband! He steam cleaned my
carpets, cleaned my windows, made sure the girls cleaned the walls and base
boards, he helped them as well, took care of the kiddos so I could play bunco,
and to top it all off the house was clean when I got home, and girls were in
bed. What a sweetheart he is! I love it when husbands help. =)

Hate Hate Hate, double hate, loathe entirely this new
facebook! On a happier note I got my Jillian Michaels killer buns and thighs
workout DVD in the mail a couple of days ago. I did it yesterday and today. I'm
really sore, she kicked my butt. I like it, but have to say she talks to much
in this one and it kind of annoys me!
I love Pandora Radio!!! I don't know why I never used it
before. It's so relaxing to just sit here and listen to music! I should go to
bed, but i'm enjoying it too much. I need an I pod or MP3 player so I can just
take it to bed with me. =)

So this morning Matt told me he had a very good dream, he
dreamed that Blackhorse design made a billion $. Him and his partner split it
evenly, and then all of his friends came to him asking for money. He was able
to hand them all 10,000 $. I told him that was a very good dream, and when is

Madisynn had nightmares last night about dinosaurs eating
her. She came into my room once, and snuggled with her. 2nd time I snuggled
with her and let her sleep on the floor in our room. Luckily she wasn't
screaming, or crying, just scared. I don't know what started this. It's not
like i'm sitting her in front of Jurassic Park, which she has not seen. She
loves dinosaurs, she watches the Diego and Dora one all the time, and we have a
dinosaur text book that Kenzie brought home from school last year that she
looks at constantly.

My poor Kenzie has been sick since Wednesday. She woke up
with a little cough, and by the time she got home it was worse, and she had a
fever. She woke up this morning with a fever of 105. It's gone down to 101.
Poor thing, I hate seeing my kiddos sick. Hopefully we can get her fever to
break soon.

Matt's parents left this morning. I feel Melancholy. I hate
saying goodbye. It helps knowing that we will see them in June. We are going to
drive out to Nauvoo with Matt's brother and sister and there families! Exciting!!!

So I had a little bit of Insomnia going on this morning. =(
Went to bed @ 11 p.m. got woken up by Maddie @ 2:30 a.m. because she had a bad
dream. Snuggled her, sent her back to bed. She came in @ 3 a.m. because she was
scared. I snuggled her, and took her to her room and tucked her in. Tried to go
back to sleep, got up @ 3:30. Good side to all of this my house is cleaned and
organized, bad side i'm tired and the day is about to start. Hopefully I can
dig up energy somewhere!

I really hate when my alarm clock doesn't go off! This
morning it happened. I woke up in shear panic @ 7:15. I usually wake up @ 6:15
or so, so I can be calm. Kenzie usually is up between 6:30 and 6:45, and has to
be ready to go by 7:30 at the latest. I'm so glad her ride came then and not
any earlier. She was ready in the nic of time, go Kenzie!
Oh my gosh you will never believe what happened just now!
Picture in your mind sweet innocent Karen. So I was calling my Dr. office and
instead of dialing 801 I dialed 800. When the call went through a recording
comes on and it was one of those phone sex numbers. I was mortified! I can't
believe that just happened.

I forgot how much a tetanus shot hurts!
I have been reading some of my friends blogs. They have
been posting about the spirit of Christmas, and service. It has been wonderful
to read their posts. I always feel so stressed out at Christmas that I don't
enjoy a lot of it. I don't hate Christmas, I just hate the commercial hype
about it. It stresses me out. I love that we get to celebrate our Savior Jesus
Christ! I love to see people happy. I love to give to others. I loved listening
to the first presidency message this past Sunday as well. So what if we don't
have a perfect Christmas. Don't stress out about it, just remember the true
meaning of Christmas. I will keep telling myself this, so I can feel the spirit
of Christmas!

Devastated to find out yesterday that my sweet Kenzie has been
bullied at school. Apparently one of her friends has been holding out her hand
for Kenzie's treat from lunch. Kenzie has been giving them to her. I don't mind
if Kenzie shares her treat, but it upsets me that she is just giving it to her.
It was meant for Kenzie as a reward for eating all of her lunch. Also this
friend has been telling her that she can only play with her other friends on
certain days. I told her that was not okay. I said you need to make that choice
for yourself, if you don't want to play soccer and want to play with your other
friends go and do it. You need to be happy! Be nice to her and don't let her
tell you what to do. I want to go in and solve this myself, but I can't. Kenzie
is a big girl and she needs to learn to say NO! I asked her if she would like
me to say a prayer with her this morning to help her be able to say NO. She
said yes. It was a good prayer and a good experience for us both! I love that
girl and I want her to be happy, and safe! Eager to find out how her day goes
today.
I am amazed, and truly blessed to have and to know so many
good people! My heart is full and overflowing! Thank you all for being so
generous, kind, loving, etc,etc, I love you all!

I'm feeling anxiety! Our Church Ward Christmas Party that
Matt and I were in charge of is tonight. I hope everyone has followed through.
I hope that people come. I hope that they like what we planned for the
activities. I hope that they like the food. Sheesh I have lot's on my mind, it
won't shut up... Really I didn't really sleep last night. I went to bed really
late, and then I slept walked a couple of times that I know of. Needless to say
I don't handle lot's of stress really well. I don't like being in charge of
things. I'll help no problem, but I hate being in charge and having all of that
stress, and worry! Thanks for listening to all of my word vomit

My pigsty of a house is now clean, Sad to say it's been a
few weeks since it's been really clean. It feels great!!! Now I can finish all
my Christmas stuff, and enjoy the rest of the holidays!!! =)
Just got back from a fabulous birthday date with Matt! For
his Birthday we ate Chinese, had cold stone for dessert, and watched the new
Sherlock Holmes movie. It was totally awesome! Happy Birthday Matt, I love you!
