Father's day

I just wanted to wish my husband, Dad, and Father in law a happy Father's day. I love them all so much! They're great father's!!! You know I've finally come to terms with my dad's death completely, but lately I've been really missing him. I hate that I can't feel him. I hate that I can't see him. I hate that he is not here on earth anymore. I hate that I'm starting to forget about him. I hate that McKenzie is forgetting him. I hate that Madisynn doesn't know him. It just really hurts, and stinks. Last night I decided to rent this movie:

Which probably wasn't such a great idea. I never really knew what it was about. I needed a good chic flick. It was a really good movie, it just wasn't the right time to see it. I cried my eyes out from start to finish. All I could think about was my Dad and Mom through the entire movie. I was exhausted and ready for bed as soon as the movie was over. This morning I woke up with a nasty headache, from crying so much. A few years ago we gave my Dad a father's day card similar to this one.

He absolutely loved that one, so I know he would like this one! Here is also a the video tribute to my Dad that the mortuary put together for the viewing for us. I love it, and love to watch it every once in awhile. Sorry about the quality of them. I had to record the cd off of the computer and make it into 2 slide shows; because if we would have kept it one, it would have been to many MB and wouldn't have fit. Enjoy! Happy Father's Day to everyone!

Neighbors

Today as I was mowing my lawn, I saw our neighbor come outside. I smiled at her, and was going to wave, but she wasn't looking at me. I would have shouted hi, but the lawnmower was on and really loud. I decided to make another lap around the front yard and if she was still out there I was going to go say hello. So I did my lap, and yes she was still there. So I immediately let the mower turn off and walked over and introduced myself. It wasn't so bad. She was really nice. Her name is Hilary, and she has 6 boys. 3 are from her husbands previous marriage, 1 is from her previous marriage, and they have 2 together. When she told me 6 boys, I was like I really don't know how you do that! She said I know, but they are spaced out enough that they help a lot. I told her my Dad came from a family of 6 boys. I said it's hard enough having 2 girls! They are both the biggest drama queens. I don't know if I could handle anymore children, and I would probably have another girl, so that would mean 3 drama queens. I'm thankful for what I do have though, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Anyways I met her oldest son awhile ago, and he was really nice. I don't know why it's so nerve racking to go and talk to other people. It's so hard for me. I'm so glad I did. They seem like really nice people, they take good care of their yard, they aren't loud and annoying. All pluses here! The only thing I don't like is that they are smokers. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke, it makes me sick. I'm not going to stop talking to them just because they smoke. That is so wrong. I hope to get to know them better. I love this neighborhood, it reminds me of my neighborhood that I grew up in. I hope that we will have Lot's of good memories here like I had of my old neighborhood growing up. Hopefully I can get the guts up to go and introduce myself to our neighbors on the other side of us. I just never really see them outside. I think It's easier to be outside and introduce yourself, than going and knocking on the door to introduce yourself. Anyways are you all close with your neighbors?

I'm an idiot!!!

So this last Monday we got a call from somebody in our ward. This was the day I wasn't feeling good. Well I went outside with the girls to put the sprinkler on the lawn. While I'm outside the phone rings, I wasn't about to run in and try to answer it. I probably would have puked! Anyways Matt was sleeping, I guess he decided to answer it. When I come back in he says the person that was on the phone was new in the ward and they were doing primary sharing time, and that they wanted to come and take a picture of our family. Apparently they decided to do a slide show or something on families. I thought great idea and yea someone new in the ward! I wasn't in the mood for her to come by to take our picture. I called her back the next day when I was feeling better and said how about Wednesday. She said sure, and then I asked her if she knew how to get to my house. She said your on Interlochen right. I said no we're at and I gave her our address. I gave her directions, and said call me if you get lost. She just laughed and said I probably will be giving you a call. She was really nice. I was looking forward to meeting her today. So today I waited to get the girls and myself ready. I wanted a cute picture of our family. I didn't want a picture of the girls hair looking a mess, and have their clothes all dirty because they spilled breakfast and lunch on their clothes. Got off track here sorry, anyways about 2:05 the phone rings. I knew it was Leann, and that she was lost. I answer the phone, and she asks how are you doing? I say I'm good how are you? She says good, but lost. We start to laugh. I asked her where she was, she says some street name. I have no idea where that is. I'm like do you know where 35th south is. She had no idea. OK I'm bad with street names and directions so I was trying to make it easy for her. I said do you know where the Stake Center is? She says yes. I tell her to head for the Stake Center. I said the street out front of it is 35th south. She then says OK I'm back on Cambridge and Interlochen. Then out of thin air something clicks in my head. I realized she wasn't in our ward. She was in our old ward. I asked her to make sure of it. She said yeah I'm calling from the Country Crossing ward. I just laughed and said I'm so sorry, but we moved back in March to Magna. She was shocked Magna??? Yeah Magna! Anyways she apologized over and over to me for bothering us. I was like it was no problem! I was looking forward to meeting someone new! And to getting our picture taken! She then said well I could come and take your picture still if you want me too. I said no that's OK, we took a picture with our own camera right before you called. She then says I asked the primary teachers if everything was current on the lists, and they all said yes. That really surprises me! You think our names would be crossed off on the rolls. I guess not though! Anyways after the conversation was over with I realized I knew who this woman was. I just can't believe it didn't click until now. I'm such an idiot! I was so looking forward to meeting someone new, and making a new friend. sigh sigh sigh.....

Here is a pic of muah the idiot:

I think my eyes are pretty though! don't you think so too????

Here is the family picture:

of course Madisynn's eyes were closed! Every single picture we took, her eyes were closed. This was the best picture out of the bunch!

Here is a picture of the two little M&M girls:

2 peas in a pod they are!

Here is a picture with the girls:

We were being silly, and they were having fun!

Last but not least here is a picture with me and my Matthew Machonahottie:

My little bro Quinn has a girlfriend that calls Matthew Machonahey Matthew Machonahottie. I absolutely loved that, so now I have to call Matt that now!!! Lot's of fun! Have a good day. =)

It finally happened...

Well it finally happened, this big screen t.v. has finally gone kaput. The projector screen inside has gone out. We've had Lot's of good memories of this t.v. Lot's of family gatherings. Anyways It's really old... my Dad won it back in the early 90's. It's gone through 3 moves. It's been doing some weird random things, but then it would go away. I've been wondering how much longer it would last. I would love to get it fixed, just for sentimental reasons, but it's not going to happen. This t.v. belongs to my Mom, but we were just holding onto it for her until she got a place that would be big enough for the t.v. and entertainment center. A basement to be more precise. Any who so Matt and I moved the broken t.v., made some adjustments to be able to put our t.v. under the entertainment center upstairs. So here is what that looks like now, it's different and not as nice as when the big big screen t.v. was there.

It does the job for now. I would like to save up for a nice entertainment center to go with this t.v. when my Mom gets her place and takes this entertainment center back. Here is a pic of the entertainment center downstairs where this t.v. was. We put a different t.v. in there, and wow what a big difference! oh well it works doesn't it??? The t.v. could be smaller!

Feeling under the weather

I don't know what my problem was yesterday, but I felt so nauseous all day long. I also felt like I was going to pass out. I had zippo energy. It was weird. I felt fine when I woke up. I ate breakfast, and then about an hr later started to feel yucky. It would go in spurts. I would feel fine, and then nauseous, and want to do nothing but lay down. Today i feel so much better! Thank goodness!!! I wanted to get my house completely cleaned yesterday, but I just couldn't. I got some things done, like fold the laundry, vacuum, and dust. I guess I get to clean the rest of my house today. Yesterday we also received our tax stimulus, you think that would have got me feeling better. I didn't even tell Matt until later in the afternoon. I just didn't want to talk. Today it makes me happy that we got it, it will really help! My Mom came by yesterday to drop off matt's last pay check from Integracore, a dinky $45 oh well $45 is $45. Anyways I'm so glad she came, that made me feel better! At least for a little while anyways. The bottom line of this post is: I hate feeling crappy! I'm glad I feel great today!

The miracle worker

Behind her eyes is the power to change the world.
Plot:A television remake of William Gibson's classic play about Annie Sullivan's efforts to draw Helen Keller from her world of darkness and silence.
We watched this yesterday. Oh it was soooo good! I loved it! I've heard of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan, but It never clicked about how bright Helen Keller is, and how hard it must have been for Annie Sullivan to teach her. If you haven't seen this, I suggest that you do, it is just an amazing movie!

Babies aren't they just so sweet?!!

Today we had the privilege of going to see this cute little guy be blessed. This little guy is my nephew, cute isn't he? Trace Curt was born on May 5th. He is so sweet, and very calm! It was fun to see my brother Chris, his wife Sarah, and their kids again. It's been a couple of months since I saw them last. Maybe now that they have had Trace we might get to see them more often. I think the next time we see them might be the 4th of July weekend. There is nothing like fireworks in Evanston. It's crazy!!! I'm really looking forward to it!!!
