Sledding day in Evanston Wyoming

So Yesterday we went sledding by my older brother Chris's house in Evanston Wyoming. We have been planning this for quite awhile. We haven't seen Chris and his family since Christmas, and we were all excited to see them! Since this month has been a busy month already, I kept putting off the fact that we needed to buy snow gear for Matt and I, and some waterproof mittens for the girls. So of course last minute we're looking around different stores to see what they have. Of course we couldn't find anything at walmart, sears, Target, which means that we would have to go to a specialty store to get it. Which usually means more money. We are really trying to save right now, and it kills me when we have to spend so much money on something that we are barely going to use. I could kick myself for procrastinating and not buying it back in November when I bought the girls their snowsuits. I just didn't think that Matt and I would need it. It kind of ticks me off though that stores are putting up their summer stuff already. Yes I want it to be summer, but it's the middle of February for crying out loud!!! It's still Winter people come on. Anyways we were able to get everything put together so we could enjoy our sledding adventure. We did have lot's of fun!!! McKenzie was having fun until she biffed it, and then she wouldn't go down the hill on a sled again. I thought it would be the other way around, that Madisynn would be totally miserable scared and wouldn't want to do it. Boy was I wrong!!! She had so much fun! She was so funny, she would lay down on the little sledding disk and we would push her down the hill she had a big smile on her face the whole time. Of course their was someone always at the bottom of the hill to get her if there were problems. Thank goodness there was no problems. Matt was a good daddy and spent most of the time with her. I think he had a major blast. McKenzie little stinker kept taking off the waterproof gloves that my sister in law loaned us. Her hands were frozen. She was still having fun, but I know that it would have been better if she would have kept her hands warm. She spent most of the time playing in the snow around the playground area with my nephew Jack.
Her hands look FREEZING to me, don't you think?!!!
We spent close to a couple of hrs sledding, so it was totally worth going! After we were done sledding we went back to my brother's house did some good talking while eating dougnets, and drinking hot cocoa! You can't go sledding without the dougnets, and hot cocoa. We played a fun game that Matt and I got for Chris and Sara a couple of years ago for Christmas. I wanted to get if for ourselfs, and I could kick myself for not, because I haven't been able to find it since. It's called Hear Me Out. I won, totally kicked everyone's butt's! That never happens! After the game we had some yummy soup, salad, and rolls. Man I love hanging out with family and friends. To me there is nothing better than that!!!
