Yesterday McKenzie had her first field trip for preschool. Parents were able to go and siblings as well. We went to Thanksgiving point to the children's gardens. It was a blast. We were worried that it was going to be canceled though because the weather has been so cold the last week. Luckily for us it was a clear day, chilly at the beginning though. When you first go into the children's gardens they have a Noah's ark that the kids can play on. NO they can't actually get in the boat, but they have rocks around and you can get by the animals. The kids were told to wear their swim suits under their clothes so they could get wet. It was too bad though the water was shut off for the winter. McKenzie's teacher was a little peeved because she takes the preschool kids every year and it has never been shut off this early. She says that they always close the water the beginning of October. Well this was also the first year that she had to worry about what the weather was going to be like. Anyways it was really cute to see the kids playing on the ark. They had fun! Here are some pictures of the ark and the kids:

After the kids were done playing on the ark we moved along. They had little mazes for the kids to go through. I would have tried to get some pictures of that, but the kids were way to fast! I swear they ran all the way through both mazes! After the mazes they had a couple of bear caves, and bear holes for the kids to play in. Here are some pictures of the bear, and the bear holes:

McKenzie has no fear, she ran in and out of the holes, but Madisynn would only go up to the top of one, but she wouldn't go out to the other sides. Next the girls got to pet some chipmunks! Here are some cute pictures of that!:
I can't believe how much fun the kids had! They ran and ran and played and played for 2 1/2 hrs. straight! They barely wanted to sit down for lunch. So some other things that the kids got to do was climb a little lighthouse, and see some fish, and at the end they had a little sculpture insect thing that the kids could play in and on. I took some pictures of that, but they didn't turn out great, and I deleted them. By the time we left, the kids well Madisynn anyways was plum tuckered out, and fell asleep as soon as the car started moving! I felt bad that the kids didn't get to play in the water with the Noah's ark. They were so looking forward to that, and I knew it, so I said you can run through the sprinkler if the weather is good by our house. That made them happy, so there you go! It was a fun field trip! We are definitely going to have to come back to Thanksgiving point in October because they have some fun things for Halloween time. So exciting, I can hardly wait!!!
