We have a leak...darn it!

Yesterday I went downstairs to our basement to put a load of laundry in the washer. I walk in and I see a steady stream of water coming from one of the pipes. Lovely huh? Matt was in the upstairs shower so that's where the water was coming from. I ran upstairs to tell him to hurry up and end his shower. He hurried and then came down to look at it. He said it's not good. Our major problem is that our shower is tiled. We are going to have to rip out the tile to find out where the leak is. Again Lovely, Lovely! I wasn't to happy with the color of tile on the shower, and I am also not a big fan of tile being in the shower. I think it's hard to clean, and it always looks dirty, especially with the color red. Anyways I wanted to redo our shower, but not right now. I wanted to way in the future when we had the funds to do it. Also the people that owned the house did the tiling in the shower and did a very crappy job of it. The handles and faucet stick out just a bit, so that could be where the water is leaking too. I'm trying to be positive, it's just a major bummer because now we are really going to have to cut back on a lot of our expenses. Darn it! I guess that is what being a home owner is all about, right? I knew when we bought this house that we would be fixing things more often because it is an older home. I still love my house though! =) I'm also very grateful that we have 2 full bathrooms. So it's not so bad, but it will be nice to have 2 working showers instead of one!
