Yesterday we went to the temple! I love to go, and it has been so long again since we went. I just love the feeling inside. I feel on top of the world and that I can conquer anything! And to think that I almost put it off yet again. Why would I do that? We didn't have a sitter for the kids, and I didn't want to entertain them in the car. I kept fighting it the whole day, and then when Matt woke up at about 4:00 yesterday I asked him if he wanted to go. He was silent for a little bit, probably because he wasn't quite awake yet. I thought to myself if we don't go, then we are going to regret it. So I said let's go, we can put the portable DVD player in the car and they can watch a movie while we take turns. The decision was made. Matt quickly got ready, and we left for the temple to do inititories.
I was first to go inside the Temple, thanks babe! I really needed a break from the kiddos. I was on top of the world when i came out of the Temple, just a smiling! I got to the car and noticed that the kids weren't watching a movie. I got in and Matt said we didn't have the right connection for the DVD player. So he had sat with the girls for an hr. In my mind I was like great....what are we going to do to entertain them. So Matt kissed me and left for his turn. It wasn't bad at all. The girls were wonderful!! We sang songs, counted, ate crackers, talked about the temple, and sang to the Mama Mia soundtrack. We had a good time! The kids could have been an absolute terror, and they weren't. They were so well behaved it made our Temple trip even more worth it! When Matt came out of the Temple he also had a brig grin on his face. I know that he felt good with our decision to come to the Temple too!
So off we went to go home. We decided to stop at the Panda Express to grab some grub and take it home to eat it. You know what's funny I wanted to call Panda Express Kung Fu Panda! LOL =) I love that movie!!! Anyways getting back on track We got the food, went home sat at the table together. This was the girls first time eating Chinese. They loved it except for the Orange Chicken. It was too spicy for them. I felt bad about that. I would have gotten sweet and sour chicken if I would have remembered that orange chicken is a little bit spicy. It was cute to see them try to eat with Chopsticks! Kenzie actually did really well for her first time using them. She did better than me! I don't use chopsticks Matt does though. Madisynn quickly gave up on the chopsticks and used her fork like me. So we finished our meal got the girls ready for bed, and Matt and I were able to relax and watch a movie together. It was a really great day! I'm glad that we didn't give into the temptation to not go to the temple.

Hey, We got to go yesterday too! It must have been a vibe in the air. It's fun to hear about the holidays and how you are. I'm so sorry to hear about Matt's grandpa--no more for you two! Hope you guys are well!
I love the feeling when you come out. That is great that you were able to go. I am looking forward to when I can go.
It's been a while for me and BJ to go because of his program and stuff but we definitely are planning on lots of visits to the Anhorage temple. I'm glad you got to go, there's nothing better to give you that "pick me up".
