Our little girl is...................

doing so awesome in her preschool! She absolutely loves it! She gets along with all of the kids, and she can't wait till the next time she goes! It is definitely worth every penny for McKenzie to go to preschool, it has helped her tremendously. She amazes me! This month in Preschool they focused a lot on snowmen. Last week she came home with this picture and craft both of snowmen. Here they are:

Aren't they both so cute! She did an awesome job. When she was explaining to me what she drew in the picture I started to laugh and gave her a hug because it was so cute. She was so Happy! So anyways on the right of the picture is her snowman, her very tall snowman. On the left of the snowman it looks like a tornado, but she says it is an earthquake. Hilarious huh? Kids imaginations are great! I love her little snowman craft too. She helped glue the nose and scarf on, and of course she drew the eyes and the mouth. I also work with her on her writing and numbers and Alphabet. Today she actually spelled her name right. She usually spells it McKneize and today she did this:

She is getting smarter and smarter each day, and is growing up so fast. She is so ready for Kindergarten. She asks all of the time if she is going to the big school soon. I love that she is so excited!

A Beautiful start to the day....NOT

So this morning I was pulled out of a deep peaceful sleep by the ringing of the phone. I instantly knew that it was Matt by looking at the time on the alarm clock, which said 7 A.M. As I answered I was hoping for good news, but no my hopes were shattered by him telling me the car wouldn't start. Lovely.... I didn't get mad, I was actually pretty calm. It wasn't Matt's fault the car wouldn't start. It was a dead battery. We should have taken the car in a couple of weeks ago because it was having a hard time starting up. We both thought it was the cold that was making the car not want to start up, but actually I think I was the one in denial otherwise I would have brought it up to Matt. I just didn't want to face anymore car problems.
Anyways Matt was able to find someone at work to help him jump start the car. Thank goodness it started up. Matt drove to the Auto zone that is just a couple of blocks away from us and saw that they were about to open. He turned the car off, and tried turning it on again, but it wouldn't start. So he waited for about a half hr. and they changed the battery. I can't believe how expensive car batteries are! It cost us $97.75 total out the door. I'm grateful that it didn't cost anymore than that. I'm also thankful that we got payed today, so that we didn't have to pull from our savings. The car starts up wonderfully now, and I'm grateful for that! I'm grateful that Matt wasn't hurt, and he is so wonderful to take it to be fixed so I wouldn't have too. Yeah so our day didn't start out so swell, but we will have a good rest of the day, as I hope you do as well. =) Think positive!

The Mom Song

A good friend sent this to me, so if you want a good laugh watch it!!! I thought it was hilarious. Thanks Jacoy. =)
I know that I've said or heard every one of the phrases many times before! Let me know what you think. =)

Decompressing Faith: The Mom Song

Here are the Lyrics to the song:

"What I have done is I have figured out what a mom would say in a 24 hour period, and I have condensed it to 2 minutes, 55 seconds. So strap on your seat belt, here we go.
Get up now, get up now, get up out of bed Wash your face, brush your teeth, comb your sleepy head Here's your clothes and your shoes, hear the words I said Get up now! Get up and make your bed. Are you hot? Are you cold? Are you wearing that? Where's your books and your lunch and your homework at? Grab your coat and your gloves and your scarf and hat Don't forget! You got to feed the cat.

Eat your breakfast! The experts tell us it's the most important meal of all Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall. Please remember the orthodontist will be seeing you at three today. Don't forget your piano lesson is this afternoon, so you must play.

Don't shovel, chew slowly, but hurry, the bus is here. Be careful, come back here, did you wash behind your ears? Play outside, don't play rough, would you just play fair? Be polite, make a friend, don't forget to share Work it out, wait your turn, never take a dare Get along, don't make me come down there Clean your room, fold your clothes, put your stuff away Make your bed, do it now, do we have all day? Were you born in a barn?, would you like some hay Can you even hear a word I say?

Answer the phone! Get Off the phone! Don't sit so close! Turn it down! No texting at the table! No more computer time tonight! Your iPod's my iPod if you don't listen up!

Where you going and with whom and what time do you think you're coming home? Saying thank you, please, excuse me, makes you welcome everywhere you roam. You'll appreciate my wisdom someday when you're older and you're grown. Can't wait 'til you have a couple little children of your own.

You'll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly But right now I thank you NOT to roll your eyes at me.

Close your mouth when you chew, would appreciate Take a bite, maybe two of the stuff you hate Use your fork, do not you burp, or I'll set you straight Eat the food I put upon your plate Get an A, Get the door, don't get smart with me Get a Grip, get in here I'll count to 3 Get a job, get a life, get a PhD Get a dose of reality.

I don't care who started it! You're grounded until your 36! Get your story straight, and tell the truth for once for heaven's sake! And if all your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump too? If I've said it once, I've said at least a thousand times before that:You're too old to act this way! It must be your father's DNA! Look at me when I am talking. Stand up straighter when you walk. A place for everything, and everything must be in place. Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about! Oh!

Brush your teeth, wash your face, get your PJs on. Get in bed, get a hug, say a prayer with Mom. Don't forgetI love you**KISS**And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom's work never ends! You don't need the reason why! Because! Because! Because! Because! I said so! I said so! I said so! I said so! I'm the Mom! The mom! The mom! The mom! The mom!

Ta-da!"

Temple

Yesterday we went to the temple! I love to go, and it has been so long again since we went. I just love the feeling inside. I feel on top of the world and that I can conquer anything! And to think that I almost put it off yet again. Why would I do that? We didn't have a sitter for the kids, and I didn't want to entertain them in the car. I kept fighting it the whole day, and then when Matt woke up at about 4:00 yesterday I asked him if he wanted to go. He was silent for a little bit, probably because he wasn't quite awake yet. I thought to myself if we don't go, then we are going to regret it. So I said let's go, we can put the portable DVD player in the car and they can watch a movie while we take turns. The decision was made. Matt quickly got ready, and we left for the temple to do inititories.
I was first to go inside the Temple, thanks babe! I really needed a break from the kiddos. I was on top of the world when i came out of the Temple, just a smiling! I got to the car and noticed that the kids weren't watching a movie. I got in and Matt said we didn't have the right connection for the DVD player. So he had sat with the girls for an hr. In my mind I was like great....what are we going to do to entertain them. So Matt kissed me and left for his turn. It wasn't bad at all. The girls were wonderful!! We sang songs, counted, ate crackers, talked about the temple, and sang to the Mama Mia soundtrack. We had a good time! The kids could have been an absolute terror, and they weren't. They were so well behaved it made our Temple trip even more worth it! When Matt came out of the Temple he also had a brig grin on his face. I know that he felt good with our decision to come to the Temple too!
So off we went to go home. We decided to stop at the Panda Express to grab some grub and take it home to eat it. You know what's funny I wanted to call Panda Express Kung Fu Panda! LOL =) I love that movie!!! Anyways getting back on track We got the food, went home sat at the table together. This was the girls first time eating Chinese. They loved it except for the Orange Chicken. It was too spicy for them. I felt bad about that. I would have gotten sweet and sour chicken if I would have remembered that orange chicken is a little bit spicy. It was cute to see them try to eat with Chopsticks! Kenzie actually did really well for her first time using them. She did better than me! I don't use chopsticks Matt does though. Madisynn quickly gave up on the chopsticks and used her fork like me. So we finished our meal got the girls ready for bed, and Matt and I were able to relax and watch a movie together. It was a really great day! I'm glad that we didn't give into the temptation to not go to the temple.

It's ALIVE!

Yeah just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive. It's been like a month since I last posted. Crazy! Sorry again that I haven't commented on anyones blog, or visited it. I got behind on the blog reading and writing and actually started to dread doing it because I didn't have the time to really do it. Anyways just know that I think about each of you all of the time, and I want to wish you all a late Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. Thank you all for your concern and well wishes too. As for our Christmas it was small and simple, and great! The girls were way excited, and had so much fun! New Years eve kind of stunk compared to past years, but oh well. I'm just excited for 2009, a new year!!!!
