I've had a Birthday, Shout horray! I'm one year older and Wiser too! Happy birthday to me!

28 years ago I ( Karen) was born. I'm so grateful that I was born on Mother's day, what a wonderful gift to share with my Mom year after year! I love it! So here is a picture of when I was first born.
We didn't do much for my birthday this year. That's ok though, I was with my family which matters most to me. Saturday Matt wanted to take me out for dinner, but we ended up doing yard work the whole day. We ended up just ordering papa johns pizza for dinner, with a little bit of rootbeer, and rented 27 dresses. Cute movie by the way! It was a fun relaxing evening. Oh yeah I decided to give myself an early birthday present too. I stubbed my toe on my cedar chest. It hurt so bad!!! I'm glad I didn't break it. Anyways I really don't have enough toe knuckles to break, or stubb. Her is a nice picture of my foot. I stubbed the ring toe, it has a nice bruise on it. Sorry if I grossed any of you out with my yucky foot! You know I find myself looking at other peoples feet all of the time wishing I could have some nice cute feet! Ones that don't have corns, that don't crack and bleed, ones that have nice toes with decent toe nails. Anyways here it is:

Today was a beautiful day! Matt pampered me, and let me sleep in and took care of the girls. He made breakfast for me. He treated me well all day long. He helped me with whatever I needed help with. Church was great, except I had such a hard time listening during sacrament meeting. I almost fell asleep. I was just so dang tired, I couldn't control myself. It was nice of the ward to get the mothers a little something. It was a little book with little inspirational thoughts for mothers. Today was my first day to start my calling as the Primary Secratary. It was fun, and I think that I'm really going to enjoy this calling. For sharing time we had the kids make cute cards for their Mother's. We rubbed stamp inc on their hands so they could put a hand print on the back of their cards. They turned out really well, and the kids had a lot of fun! After church I relaxed all day, and then it was time to make dinner. I had to make my own birthday dinner, because Matt isn't much of a cook. Anyways I decided that I wanted to try my friend Shainas apricot Meatballs for dinner. I think I did a good job on them! They were so yummy! Thanks Shaina for sharing. So we had the meatballs, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. We were all stuffed! Matt had been wanting to give me my gifts all day, and I wouldn't let him. I said I want to open them when we do the cake. It makes it more special to me. Anyways the time came to do the cake, the girls were dying with anticipation! McKenzie had talked about nothing but cheesecake, and presents for the last 2 days! So here you are some pictures of the cake and my gifts. I had a yummy cheesecake and rootbeer float ice cream. It was pretty good.

Matt got me the enchanted music soundtrack. He did a great job, I love the music to that movie! He also gave me some new frying pans because our other ones had bit the dust. Thank you Matt for a great Birthday!
I recieved some special cards from my Mom, and Mother in law, and my grandma Kotter. They really met a lot to me, so thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I'm grateful to be married to a wonderful man, and to be a mother to two beautiful sweet little girls!
