Back when Matt and I were first married in the military we came home to visit our familes. My Mom and Dad took us on a drive that was very long and relaxing. We ended up ontop of a mountain looking down into Kennecott copper mine. now I have been to the visitor center before, but this was a whole different experience. It is amazing to look down into this mine, it is huge!
I was really missing my Dad this summer and this memory made me want to go and relive it with Matt and the girls. So we went on a Sunday afternoon not exactly knowing if we were going the right way. The drive up was just as relaxing and was a perfect thing to do on a Sunday. We made it to the top of the mountain with no problems. The girls thought it was pretty cool seeing that huge mine from way ontop of a mountain! I'm so glad we were able to relive the memory from so long ago!
